OMEGA ACTIVE

With its OMEGA ACTIVE system, CEStronics offers a solution for customers who want to integrate electronic cylinders in IP networks so that they can program access authorizations and monitor the access from a central location. With active transponders, this electronic locking system allows reading ranges of about 80 cm – if a long-range reader is installed, as much as 12 metres are possible. The online version of OMEGA ACTIVE thus combines hands-free convenience for the user with an opportunity to manage and monitor locking authorizations from a central desk. Especially for larger installations, the significantly reduced support effort will translate into major cost and time savings.
Apart from active transponders, the OMEGA ACTIVE system is also prepared for a wide range of 125 kHz transponders, such as EM4102, Hitag 1, Hitag 2, and Hitag S so that it can be easily integrated in existing access control systems.
In combination with active transponder media, the OMEGA ACTIVE system is not only perfectly suited for controlling the physical access in office buildings, hospitals, or industrial facilities, but also for access control applications in IT environments. As a convenient way to block and unblock computers, it automatically enhances the security of your data. Also the locking of control cabinets and industrial racks is a field of application for this technology. Partner companies such as TeraTron (Gummersbach) or Dirak (Ennepetal) have already developed practical solutions.
The product range includes double-knob cylinders, wall terminals, long-range readers and, as a novelty, the mechatronic fitting. This fitting, already known from the OMEGA LEGIC series, is available in a narrow and a wide shield version and completes the range of products around the door. Just as all the other components, also this fitting can be programmed online over a wireless link. In addition, it can operate with active as well as with passive 125 kHz media. The communication between these door components and the network is established through integrated Access Points. As an option, these Access Points are available with PoE (Power over Ethernet) power supply.
All components of the OMEGA ACTIVE system can also be operated with an iPhone™ or other mobile phones with Internet capability via a secured access. All you have to do is simply login via a web server with your name and password. The touch screen then allows you to enable the desired doors on a temporary basis. When the CEMO motor cylinder is used, the iPhone™ will also show the respective door status on the display.
