CES vario - the flexible lock system

08.11.2010

Saves space - Saves time - Saves costs - But does not save on quality

Small change, big difference: CESlocks has separated the lock body from the forend and now offers a flexible, modular system called "CES vario" which provides a variety of benefits for the user.  For any given door section, the lock body can be easily provided with the appropriate forend.  The separate storage saves the locksmith about 80% in space and allows an almost unlimited variety of combinations.  A customized lock is quickly and easily put together.

Wide selection of forends

Round or square, lacquered, stainless steel, or polished brass forends are available in all conceivable dimensions.  Highest quality is guaranteed by the name CESlocks: two special stainless steel fixing screws with an integrated locking device ensure a secure fastening of the forend.  Successful sustained-load tests performed according to the German DIN standard have demonstrated that the strength of the screw-fastened forend is absolutely equivalent to that of a welded forend.

Solutions for virtually every door

CES vario is available in several lock categories: as traditional industrial building lock with backsets ranging from 50 to 100 mm, as entrance door lock with 92 mm centre distance, as narrow stile mortise lock and as refurbishment lock with extra short case.  The refurbishment lock was mainly designed for the modernization of older and old buildings with lock cases that are smaller than the currently used DIN dimensions.  The lock case has a reduced height of 153 mm instead of 165 mm so that it can be easily installed without time-consuming milling work at the lock pocket.

Convenient transport case

A TANOS case especially designed for CES vario contains everything the fitter needs on the construction site.  Special padding inserts ensure a safe accommodation of the contents.  The lower part includes 16 slots for lock bodies, and the upper tray offers space to store forends and fitting accessories.  The TANOS systainer® can be combined through a pin and socket arrangement with other cases of the same type, for instance for storing tools.
