Convenient programming with the RF-Stick

22.03.2011

Programming Omega Active locking systems or individual locking cylinders is now even more convenient, faster and simpler with the new RF-Stick.  In combination with a netbook, it can be used to reprogram CES cylinders and change authorizations, time profiles, etc. in a very simple manner.  The old programmer will no be longer needed, instead CEStronics offers an all-inclusive starter package which is considerably more convenient to use. It comprises a state-of-the-art netbook which already contains the required software and the database with all associated Omega Active devices and locking media, and an RF-Stick assigned to the locking system for programming the locking devices.

Like the known Access Points, this RF-Stick works with encrypted data transmission via 868MHz RF signals. It goes without saying that it can also be integrated into existing online systems as a supplementary programming medium.

The package is pre-configured which makes for an extremely simple Plug&Play start-up.  The software is pre-installed on the netbook and upon inserting a USB stick, the licence is unpacked and drivers and the software are automatically initialized. All cylinders and locking media are already included so that the locking plan can be immediately opened and edited. As soon as the RF-Stick is inserted into the netbook, it is automatically synchronized with the software. All that is needed at the door is reading a Master medium, and the RF-Stick will transmit the new authorization data automatically  from the netbook to the cylinder – over a range of up to 10 metres. At the same time, events will be retrieved and transmitted to the netbook.

The RF-Stick is available as of today.
