The University of Oxford required a standardised locking system for 19 existing buildings that combined high security standards, flexible expandability and efficient key management. CES developed a bespoke, secure profile with anti-drill and anti-pick protection for this purpose, and also supplied a key-cutting machine and blank keys. This enables the university to manage its locking system independently and produce new keys quickly in-house.

At the expanding Montabaur site, the CES-System DU integrates various building complexes into a single access control system. The solution reduces the administrative burden associated with managing different legacy systems, ensures organisational security and provides scope for future expansion. The patented 3D profiling, the high quality of the keys and the joint concept development with CES and the specialist retail partner won 1&1 over.

Following a restoration in keeping with the building’s heritage, 15 modern lofts have been created across five floors in the historic Don Bosco House. CES OMEGA FLEX meets the high standards required there in terms of design, ease of use and flexible access control: 25 cylinders, 100 transponders and two customised wall-mounted terminals were programmed, installed and integrated into the planned video intercom system.
