Yes. AccessOne is particularly useful in existing buildings because not every door needs to be wired. Key and sensitive access points are connected online, whilst many internal doors can be integrated cost-effectively using OSS offline locking devices.

Yes. AccessOne has a modular structure. Online devices, offline devices, authorisation groups, profiles, users and extension modules can be set up in a structured manner and adjusted at a later date.

No. That is one of the key advantages. Online access is used where real-time monitoring or alarm functions are required. Offline devices compliant with the OSS standard reduce the amount of cabling and installation work required in less critical areas.

The online system is recommended for external cladding, main entrances, barriers, security areas and doors requiring surveillance or alarm functions. The offline system is suitable for many internal doors, offices, ancillary rooms and existing areas where cost-effectiveness and minimal cabling are the main priorities.

Online access uses up-to-date system data. For offline devices, authorisations are stored on the access card and updated via central updaters. The AccessOne documentation describes the read and write processes at CES readers/updaters as taking place in fractions of a second.

The door control units continue to operate in stand-alone mode. Once the data has been loaded, they make access decisions locally and remain operational even if the network connection to the higher-level access control system fails. UPS protection is available.

Permissions are organised via groups, time models and profiles. This allows typical roles such as staff, technical staff, cleaning staff, visitors or service providers to be managed in a structured manner and easily adapted when changes are made.

For AccessOne, updates should be planned on a project- and device-specific basis. For CESentry devices in use, firmware updates are described via the designated administration channels; the specific procedure depends on the hardware, licence and operating mode.

AccessOne uses RFID technologies such as MIFARE DESFire or LEGIC advant. Mixed operation is possible. Whether existing identification media can continue to be used should be assessed in the project from both a technical and a security perspective.

Yes. AccessOne maps location data in a structured way – using objects, areas, buildings, floors, rooms and doors. In addition, client functions can be used to logically separate parts of the facility.

Yes. Within an AccessOne installation, there is cross-site communication as well as structured site data covering objects, buildings, floors, rooms and doors, with the additional option of dividing the system into separate client instances.

AccessOne logs activities, access events and data changes. The documentation also describes user rights, logging, input validation and logbook functions for operational analysis.

New users can be created and assigned to appropriate authorisation profiles. Profiles group authorisations by role, ensuring that new staff members are quickly granted the appropriate access rights in terms of location and time.

The medium is blocked in the system. Online authorisations are revoked immediately. As soon as the blocked card is held up to an updater, it is marked as blocked; in addition, blocking information is distributed to offline locking devices via other cards.

Yes. ID cards and authorisations can be assigned validity periods and time-based models. This is useful for visitors, service providers, fixed-term employment contracts or temporary special authorisations.

AccessOne is not a substitute for a legal review, but it supports operators in meeting technical and organisational requirements: role-based permissions, user rights, logging, records of data changes, 128-bit AES communication, multi-tenancy, deletion processes and structured access control.
