Programming options tailored to your needsProgramming and administration

All the programming and management methods described can be used within an electronic locking system.

Offline with master media

The simplest way to programme locking devices is the offline method using master media. You do not need any software. This method is suitable for very small-scale applications with few doors and few users. 

Offline with a netbook and an RF dongle

When programming offline using a netbook and an RF stick, you can set time-limited access authorisations. You can easily edit these authorisations in the software at your workstation. The data is transferred wirelessly to the locking devices via the RF stick.

Online via access points

For complex and sprawling building layouts with many users and frequently changing access authorisations, online programming is recommended. Access authorisations and events at the doors are transmitted wirelessly from the access points to the system.

Programming in V-NET

In the V-NET version, authorisations are programmed onto the access media. If a key is lost, a new access medium is programmed, which blocks the lost one at the relevant access points. V-NET is the ideal solution when an online application via radio is not possible.

OSS Standard OfflineCES OMEGA FLEX devices are compatible with OSS

All mechatronic locking devices, such aselectronic cylindersandelectronic fittings from CES, are compatible with the OSS Offline standard and support both MIFARE DESFire and LEGIC RFID systems.

The OSS standard and CES’s user-friendly configuration tools enable the straightforward integration and combination of mechatronic locking devices within conventional access control systems.

Integration with alarm systems

To ensure that the system operates as intended, burglar alarm systems (BAS) must prevent doors from being opened whilst the system is armed. A potential-free switch, e.g. from a relay, is sufficient to achieve this. 

When the BDS is armed, the relay activates an input on the wireless control unit, which immediately locks the electronic cylinder or fitting. The door remains locked – even with a valid access medium – until the relay releases the input again after the system is disarmed.

For emergency situations, such as a fire service operation, the CES OMEGA FLEX system provides an emergency key that can override the lock at any time and thus unlock the door.

Integration with third-party systemsUniversal Remote Control (URC)

All CES OMEGA FLEX products are fitted with internal wireless modules and are generally suitable and pre-configured for integration into access control systems from various manufacturers. CES provides integrators with a wireless module and an API for integration into various applications.

For example, biometric systems or PIN-code devices can be easily paired with the locking devices via the wireless control system.  Entering the correct PIN code or the recognition of the correct fingerprint triggers authorised door opening. In the same way, intercom systems in any CES OMEGA FLEX installation can trigger secure door opening remotely.
