UD Conventional Locking System

Maximum safety and comfort for residential construction
UD stands for reliable security in residential construction. The patented 5-pin locking system complies with the relevant DIN and VdS classes and combines ease of use with cost-effective planning reliability. A double-sided undercut creates a three-dimensional key profile with active anti-duplication protection.

Advantages of the UD Conventional System

  • Patent protection until 2031
  • Tested and certified in accordance with DIN EN 1303 and DIN 18252
  • 5-pin profile system
  • up to 4 additional lateral sensing control and locking elements
  • Guide groove for precise torque transmission
  • Nickel-silver spanner with reinforced handle for optimum torque
  • Wide range of colours and finishes
  • Optional: Additional drill and pull protection BS3/BS4/BZ1/BZ2
  • Optional: Additional features and certifications

Technical details

UD’s technical specifications highlight its flexibility and reliability in planning. Its functions, designs, protection classes and materials are consistently tailored to the professional requirements of residential construction.

An overview of special functions

Active query in the key profile

The UD system uses several coordinated locking elements to provide enhanced protection against tampering. Spring-loaded swivel levers provide a dual security check along the long side of the key profile and are effective against bump picking. This is complemented by lateral coding with variable control pins, as well as a spring-loaded drill and pull protection made from hardened special steel.

Spring-loaded swivel levers

Two spring-loaded pivot levers are integrated into one side of the lock cylinder. They perform a dual security check along the long side of the key profile, prevent the cylinder from being turned through and effectively enhance protection against bump picking as well.

Lateral coding

On the side of the cylinder core opposite the swivel levers, up to five horizontally mounted, versatile control pins are integrated. This lateral coding provides an additional safety-related check and highlights the technical safety benefits of the UD system.

Spring-loaded drill and pull-out protection

A spring-loaded locking element made of hardened special steel, housed within the casing, complements the lock cylinder. It performs a contour-based security check on the key and increases resistance to drilling and pulling attempts, acting as an additional effective locking mechanism.

Personalise cylinders and keys

Easier than ever before

Personalise your locking system and turn it into your calling card. Whether it’s a custom-designed key or a personalised cylinder – CES offers specialist partners a wide range of options for visual and functional customisation. This results in solutions with high recognition value that combine security, brand identity and professionalism, and clearly stand out from standard solutions.

Mechanics meets access control

The transponder clip allows CES’s mechanical profile systems to be easily combined with CES’s electronic locking systems and the AccessOne access control system. This creates flexible hybrid solutions that combine mechanical security with electronic organisation. Existing locking systems can be expanded in stages and adapted to new requirements without any disruption to the system and with maximum planning reliability.
