CES wins the iF DESIGN AWARD 2025
An outstanding achievement in international designGreat excitement at CES: the locking device range for the cloud-based CESentry locking system has been awarded the iF DESIGN AWARD 2025. In the Building Technology category, the product family impressed the international jury of experts with its innovative design, high functionality and harmonious design language.
With this award, CES joins the ranks of the winners of one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions. The iF DESIGN AWARD has been presented by iF International Forum Design GmbH for over 70 years and is internationally recognised as a mark of excellence in design.
The CESentry locking systems received awards in the ‘Product’ discipline and the ‘Building Technology’ category. The judging criteria included innovation, functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, utility and ergonomics.
CESentry thus prevailed in a highly competitive international field: a total of almost 11,000 entries were submitted from 66 countries. The jury consisted of 131 independent design professionals, who assessed the entries according to clearly defined quality criteria.
The award-winning hardware for the CESentry locking systems was developed in collaboration with the design agency Squareone. The product range comprises the door fitting, wall-mounted terminal and electronic lock cylinder.
The particular challenge lay in unifying the design of these different locking devices and transforming them into a harmonious, recognisable product family. The result is a clear design language that combines functionality, technical precision and a modern appearance.
