        First-hand accounts of people’s careers

        Our staff’s experiences
Our staff share insights into their day-to-day work at CES. Whether it’s starting out in a career, professional development or exploring new opportunities – the following career stories show just how varied career paths can be with us and what opportunities CES has to offer.
Two paths, one shared feeling: we’ve arrived at CES.

For Carmen, CES began as an opportunity following her move to Germany. That initial role turned into a genuine career path: today, she brings her experience in production to the order centre. Erhan later chose CES as well, because he felt his wife was in good hands here.

Both see CES as an employer that fosters development, supports its staff and embodies a spirit of togetherness.

“The family-like atmosphere at CES isn’t just talked about – it’s put into practice.”

Ronald BoonTake responsibility. Strengthen the brand. Shape the future.

Ronald Boon has been with CES since 2008. He started as an account manager when CESnederland was founded and has helped build up the office step by step, from a small team to a fully-fledged branch with over 20 staff.

Today, he is Managing Director of CESnederland and also heads up international marketing. He particularly values the trust, the collaboration between the Netherlands and Germany, and the opportunity to further develop CES as a brand.

For Ronald, CES is more than just a job: it’s a place where people grow, take on responsibility and shape the future together.

“I really do have a CES heart.”

Marcus MarkowiczHe was born with a knack for sales.

After more than ten years in the automotive industry, Marcus Markowicz joined CES at the end of 2022. As International Key Account Manager, he now looks after key clients worldwide and works to turn customers into long-term partners.

What excites him about CES is its dynamism: a long-established company founded in 1840 is clearly evolving – becoming more modern, vibrant and full of opportunities. For Marcus, that is precisely the appeal: not just being part of a company, but part of a journey of development.

“There’s a real buzz here, and that’s exactly what makes it so enjoyable.”

Julia GreveFrom a work-study programme to taking responsibility for your own life.

Julia Greve started at CES on a dual-track degree programme in mechanical engineering. Today, she works as an engineer in production engineering and supports projects directly on the production floor.

She particularly values the personal responsibility, the freedom to organise her own work and the teamwork. Her journey shows that at CES, young talents are given opportunities – and can actively make the most of them.

“At CES, you can make the most of opportunities and play an active part.”

Julia Welzel-CaspersCareer and family? At CES, you can have both.

Julia Welzel-Caspers has been part of CES for over 20 years. Her various roles within the company have led to a career path involving ever-increasing responsibility: today, she heads up sales for Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg.

What she particularly values about CES are trust, flexibility and people who encourage you to take the next step. For Julia, CES is an employer that makes personal development possible – even when you need to balance family and career.

“If you show commitment, you get a lot in return at CES.”
